Kanazawa Castle

Kanazawa Castle was the residence of the Maeda family, rulers of Kaga Domain, boasting a history of approximately 400 years. Its distinctive white lead tiles and stone walls are beautiful. Today, it is open to the public as a park. The gates and turrets have been restored, allowing visitors to view Japanese castle architecture up close.

The wide grounds are perfect for strolling and photography. Night illumination is popular and usually held on Saturdays and during the tourist season or special events.
